[During the finals unfortunately Russel’s hamstring pulled]

[Russel was unable to go to the World Youth Games due to a pulled hamstring]

September 2015
Russel went to the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa and ran the 100 and 200. Russel made it to the semi finals in the 200m and came 5th in his 100m race. [Grade 1 hamstring applied during this event].

Russel was named co-captain of The Hutchins School Athletics Team and awarded JA Newman Cup for Champion Athlete of the school for a consecutive year.

Goals to be achieved in 2017/2018:

Russel will potentially be competing at the Oceania Games in late June/beginning of July in Fiji.
Russel’s goals for 2018 are to qualify for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, and the Sukma Games held in Perak, Malaysia.
